APG: THE STRONGEST LINK
Within APG (an Dutch pension provider), an island culture prevailed through various work locations: customer requests come in, but the various departments (or islands) do not have structural connecton with one another. Mindgame developed a serious game for APG to break through this culture.

The live game
APG sees advantages in breaking this culture in order to achieve more transparent and effective communication and to be able to add more customers to the portfolio. Mindgame has developed a serious game for this, in which players are challenged to break through the island culture themselves in order to win the game.
Teams were created during the live game. These teams had to discover for themselves that one-on-one communication is less effective in solving the game, no matter how fast they ran. They experience that there are central communication points that help them quickly and qualitatively with customer solutions. Centralized communication, where an account manager distributes the questions among the specialized teams, turned out to be more effective than decentralized communication.
